These string trees are the perfect answer to the old metal type. Strings can bind up, get pinched and slip unexpectedly during tuning, restringing and playing. Graph Techs string retainers however, allow the string to move freely while providing the same breaking angle over the nut as a conventional metal one. Easy to install and easily filed if you prefer them very low for maximum angle over the nut.
